GRASSROOTS CAMPAIGN TO END TAXPAYER FUNDING OF HUMAN EMBRYONIC STEM CELL RESEARCH!

The NIH, National Institute of Health, post Obama's signing of the March 9th executive order, allowing for further research using human embryos, has set forth a proposed set of guidelines for federally funded human embryonic stem cell research. The guidelines, for the first time, would allow taxpayer funding of human embryonic stem cell research. Did anyone get that?? HUMAN EMBRYONIC STEM CELLS, THOSE ARE "HUMANS". Are we going to stand by, silently, and allow our taxpayer dollars to fund research using human embryos? HUMAN BABIES???

If you have been following my blog, you would also know that our local government is deeply entrentched in the funding of this type of research in our own state. Please send them the message that we will NOT tolerate the death of the babies in this nation! We must stop the bloodshed and stand for those that don't have a voice!

Please help them, they cannot help themselves.

Ok, so I got an email regarding a pro life video contest sponsored by "Susan B. Anthony List", went to visit the site and get more info and found this crazy article written by:
Jacob M Appel , Bioethicist and Author. His article gives rise to a new concept in America, "Abortion Pride Movement"....WHAT? Is this guy serious?? Apparently he is!
"Everybody is proud these days. While “pride” as a collective concept may have originated with the Gay Rights movement of the 1970s, now marchers in the St. Patrick’s Day parade are as likely to sport pins boasting “Proud to be Irish” and my Jewish friends are as proud to be Jewish as my Muslim friends are proud to be Muslim—although I always wonder if they wouldn’t be equally proud if they had been born into the opposite faiths. Recently, I even spotted a bumper sticker on a jalopy that declared: “Proud to be humble.” While the Book of Proverbs may warn us that “pride goeth before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall,” the political and social reality today is that pride is a necessary prerequisite for acceptance and equality. That is why the moment is ripe—more than ripe—for an Abortion Pride Movement."
Did he just quote the Bible? Wait, there's more.....
"In contrast to women who have foregone abortion, women who have chosen to terminate their pregnancies are rarely encouraged to take pride in their decisions. That is unfortunate. In the current political climate, deciding not to bring a fetus to term, if a woman is unready to parent, or if that fetus is likely to lead a life of great physical suffering, is a courageous and noble moral choice. Recognizing that thirteen or fourteen years old is rarely a wise age to embark on the process of parenting takes personal insight—but it also requires wisdom, at that young age, to terminate a pregnancy and so spare a child from growing up with another child for a parent. In short, women should not merely have the right to end unwanted pregnancies, they should have the right to be proud of having done so."
Abortion, according to this guy is, "a courageous and noble moral choice"; can he really be serious? He then goes on to say that 13 or 14 year old girls have the wisdom to make the choice to terminate a pregnancy? I couldn't decide which baby doll to play with at 13/14 years of age, wisdom?? Doesn't that come with years and experience?
Our society has got to get on board with the "Adoption Pride Movement"! We have got to say, "ok, life happens but it is never ok to take the life of an unborn child...God has created this living human being, and we cannot pretend to know more than He does". We have to be willing to step out and help those teen girls too! They don't have the wisdom to make a decision to KILL their unborn babies, and when they do get the wisdom, how will they react then? We have to be willing to accept the children of these girls into our own homes and hearts. I know plenty of women who cannot have children who would be willing to open up their hearts and homes to accept a child...especially to save them from the horrors of abortion, or should I say murder?

Let me ask this....how can life begin after conception? If the definition of conception is "the beginning of something", then how can life begin after conception....just doesn't seem possible? Every human body system is begun at the moment of conception and begins to grow into a human being from the moment it is "conceived", even that tiny little embryo is a human being! How wonderful and marvelous is God's design? I personally don't want to challenge God's intelligence, do you?
Ok, so I am opening up a store that sells "Abortion Pride" items...who wants to be the first to purchase my new pins and bumper stickers? They look a little something like this:

"I had an abortion and I am proud"
"I aborted my son"
"I aborted my daugther"
"Abortion Pride"
"Inopportune Pregnancy? Choose Abortion"
"Proud to Abort!"

I'll be waiting on orders! Maybe I can contact Jacob M Appel to help me get the word out about my new business? Just a thought!

With all due respect Mr. Amerson, did you think of the lives of the unborn and the impact to them, before making a statement like this? Shouldn't our state be striving to gain economic strength through other avenues that don't take the life of an innocent unborn child?

The residents of Dahlonega should be appalled and be working to remove you from office, I know that I will be doing all I can to get this message spread about the corruption of the GA Legislature and the GREED for financial impact rather than the dignity of human life!

For us normal folks, we have to ask, "Why, in the conservative, pro life state of GA, did the 'Human Embryonic Stem Cell Protection Act' fail?" Well, let me give ya a clue.

The circle starts like this: The Georgia Research Alliance, henceforth known as GRA, awards eminent scholars (prominent researchers) loads of money and relocates them to GA to boost GA's economy. Well, a couple of years back, GRA relocated one Dr. Steven Stice to GA and gave him the title of "eminent scholar" and awarded him oodles of biomedical research money for "reproductive technology". Please use this link http://www.biomed.uga.edu/stice/ to view Dr. Stice's lab at the University of Georgia titled, "Human cells, animal cloning, & genetic engineering", that title is super scary! Wonder what's going on behind those research doors? Well, to boot, Dr. Stice is also the co-founder of ArunA Biomedical:

Ok, well now that I have given you a little information about Dr. Stice and GRA, let me expand on the connection between GRA, Dr. Stice, & the GA Legislature!

Are ya gettin' it yet? Dr. Stice was paid big bucks and given many perks to move here to GA and now he has created, on the campus of UGA mind you, a company responsible for the production of human embryonic stem cell lines and he is making alot of money for the state of GA! AND, the state legislature is responsible for footin' the bill, so how could they pass a bill in the state of GA that would regulate the production of human embryonic stem cell lines????
NOT POSSIBLE!

So, now the "Human Embryonic Stem Cell Protection Act" has been tabled in the state of GA and instead of saving babies, we are going to expand the economy by killing babies! Ya know, with the economy the way it is, someone has to sacrifice their lives in order for a better future, right? May God have mercy on us all!
